"Under-staffed= Poor service"

Oscar's is a fairly popular york eaterie. The food is not amazing... but the portion sizes seem to disguise this fact.

On the occasions that i have visited oscar's it has been very busy... or more to the point 'crammed', there are far too many tables for such a small venue, leaving one feeling very claustrophobic on a busy friday or saturday evening.

Another problem is the staff, not that they aren't pleasant, but there is never enough of them! It always seems like the service is very rushed... that no-one has enough time to spend a few minutes talking to their customers. Which, for me at least can leave your custom feeling rather undervalued.

In summation, i don't understand the appeal of oscar's. It's an over-hyped burger joint...one step up from macdonalds. If you like a beer and a burger maybe it's for you, but if you like good food oscar's definately doesn't make the cut..
