A review of Tanglewood by MR. G written on Friday 8th of October 2010
Evening thurs 7th Oct. 2011 Quite shocked at price of all food. Menu looked nice with wide choice, but £10.95 for bangers and mash or burger and chips was the cheapest mains and at that price vastly overpriced. Had burger. The food was well cooked and presented no problems there. Some of the new decor was ok but newspaper on the ceiling was "tacky" to say the least and far too many celebrity photo's. Not a great theme for a place like this. Had pint and half of lime and lemonade and was charged £4.40 !!! Outrageous price was told pint was £2.35 and half was £2.05. Manager could not explain this and blamed it on the system the new owner had taken on. The first and last time we will be eating at the "new" Tanglewood. You will price yourselves out of the pub food market if you continue like this, much the same as your sister restaurant The Copper Horse at Seamer. .
