A review of Dringhouses Sports Club by Anonymous written on Wednesday 9th of June 2010
A young footballer I can rember playing on Hob Moor, changing in a Train Wagon,John Lawson clearing up the cow crap on the pitch before the game started. The Dringhouses footballers cannot believe how lucky they are now changing in excellent facilies at St. Helens Road, and playing on an excellent football pitch. All this is due to one man John Richard Lawson, Dringhouses though and though, a man who had the vision that if the Club had stayed on Hob Moor it could have folded due to the lack of facilities. Since John Lawson's death in 1990 the Club have won a large amount of trophies, and this is due to one man John Richard Lawson.
A true Dringhouses great.
