I like my local newsagent, not because they install a sense of community, but because they have what I need.

lendal newsagent (the kiosk) provides all the daily national papers and an excellent array of magazines both popular and specialist.

You'll find greetings cards for all occasions which is great for when you forget someone's birthday.

My favourite thing about this newsagent is that I can top up my mobile phone card which is surely the benchmark of any good newsagent nowadays.

For those with a pageant for sweet things, they have a pretty good selection of jars of sweets to... Mmmm. .
