A review of St Barnabas C Of E Church by G Barnes and Co written on Monday 4th of January 2010
The external facade of the building hides what is a wonderful church, with tremendous examples of stained glass windows and a timber relief of the last supper.
St B's is clearly a parich chirch with a stong sense of community
Many churches profess to welcome children however in my experience many do not. St B's is however a church were everyone is made to feel very welcome and it doesnt matter if your three year old happens to grab the vicar mid sermon!
A pleasent change not to have the "tuts and comments" from the congregation I was unfortuanately subjected to in other churches in and around York
They have a tremendous range of services that suit all tastes from family and toddlers to "said Sevices"
Both I and my family thoughly emjoyed the all to brief time spent at St B's( had to leave york ) and I would recommend the church to anyone who is looking to praise God in a relaxed manner
