A review of Abbeyfields Guest House by S and P Wilkinson written on Monday 24th of August 2009
We would like to recommend AbbeyField Guest House, 19 Bootham Terrace York, We have just stayed their for a weekend break. We were given a warm welcome from Al and Les the proprietors who were lovely people which provided lot's of useful information about York and what the city had to offer.
We stayed in room 9 which was located at the top of the guest house which was lovely and clean, cosy and warm. It had an ensuite, a tv and a various selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolates and lovely fresh towels that were provided daily.
Every morning we awoke to the smell of freshly baked bread which we had for breakfast, along with a large selection of of cereals, fruit and yoghurt and a fab cooked breakfast, which kept you full for most of the day.
The location was great, a short walk through the museum gardens to the centre of York shopping centre and it's attractions. It was a great weekend and it was a great place to stay, we can't wait to book for next year. .
