A review of The Bike Outlet by Ian McLean written on Monday 18th of May 2009
Before commencing with this follow up to my earlier review I must point out that the actions taken by Alex from Bike Outlet highlighted below were taken PRIOR to the posting of my initial review and therefore not as a response to any internet "pressure".
Alex on behalf of Bike Outlet was extremely apologetic in respect of the problems I have encountered with the mudguards. He agreed that the picture was misleading, and indicated that he would take steps to ensure that the necessary modification would subsequently be highlighted on their web site.In addition he is sending me a replacement half mudguard free of charge together with a set of bike lights as compensation for my trouble.
Needless to say this action transforms my opinion of this store which prior to the mudguard problem had been excellent, in that their deliveries were efficient and the advice which they offered in respect of which bike to purchase was first rate .
Well done Alex and Bike Outlet. Ian McLean.
