A review of Tanglewood by Mrs bendson written on Tuesday 30th of December 2008
We just popped in on our way to scarborough. we have never been in before even though we travel past it at least once a month, now we go every time we are in yorkshire. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. the pub itself is nicely furnished with fresh flowers on the bar making a very warm welcome in the cold winter weather. it has a great sized beer garden and play area for children. The very plain toilets have been fabulously spiced up with flowers, tissues, body spays and even hair spay. the menu is not the biggest but with things like a homemade beef burger with hand cut chips and a salad garnish ( which was my choice. cooked to perfection) or The fishermans pie - again homemade (my Husbands choice)also with hand cut chips and seasonal veg, it is one of the best. The tanglewood are also supporting the local buinesses using only local grown products. They are most certainly setting an example of how real pub/restraunts should be..
