"Good local, great Sunday lunch!"

We stayed in a guest house,b&b, on bishopthorpe road and popped in to "the winning post" for a drink on the way to the city centre. We found it very welcoming and defiantly a good all round local's pub. Stopped on our way back and there must have been a party on in another room as it was very lively. The locals were very nice and easy to chat to, even if a little worse for wear, and told us to try the Sunday dinner the next day which we did and found it to be excellent both taste wise and value for money. Would defiantly call in again if we came back..
