A review of Acomb & District Conservative Club by Pete Smith written on Friday 11th of January 2013
A small club which provides a quiet comfortable atmosphere combined with an extremely friendly welcome to all prospective members. Many people seem to think that this type of club is fundamentally politically oriented. In practice nothing could be further from the truth. Politics only seems to be discussed when the government of whatever colour puts up the price of beer, petrol etc. The club has a well stocked bar at competitive prices. Facilities include a superb snooker room with three quality tables. Entertainment can vary from Bingo to Quiz nights, Poker evenings to live entertainers. A finger buffet is provided free of charge on Saturday evenings. Various themed evenings are also held throughout the year which always include the provision of hot food (at a modest extra cost).
