A review of The Buckles Inn by Danny written on Saturday 28th of July 2012
The Buckles Inn Bilborough, ( Sam Smiths). We travelled from Scarborough, to meet my son who came across from manchester, in the hope of spending a pleasant saturday afternoon together, ( we only get together about twice a year). Informed the landlady why we were there, ( in general conversation), and having got together about 1:30pm, and just settled and chatting away, were told to drink up cos they close at 2pm!!!!!!! When we asked if there were any other pubs locally, where we could go to continue our get together, she said no, "everywhere closes at 2". Well no wonder we were the only customers!!! The premier inn opposite was open and most welcoming and we spent a pleasant few hours together. Will I return to this pub, no way. Marks out of ten = 1, and that's only for their prices!!!.
